What happens during a service?
When you arrive at the main entrance there will be a welcome team to greet you and show you the way. The hall where we meet is on the ground floor. We use a large screen for the texts of our songs, readings and prayers. Find a comfortable seat and enjoy the informal worship before the service begins.
Our services are contemporary in style, following an Anglican pattern and alternating between Holy Communion one week and Morning Worship (worship, sermon and prayers) the next week. The leader explains things as they happen, including when to stand or sit, and when it is time to receive communion members of the welcome team guide you to the front of the hall to receive the bread and wine.

Can I receive Holy Communion?
If you are a baptised follower of Jesus, and if you have been receiving communion at your regular/previous church, you are welcome to receive Holy Communion with us. Alternatively you can come forward to receive a prayer of blessing, or you can simply remain in your seat during communion distribution. We offer gluten-free wafers and/or non-alcoholic communion wine to those who prefer it. This is explained during the service.

After the service coffee, tea and soft drinks are served. This is a great opportunity to get to know people in the congregation. It’s not easy walking into a room full of strangers, but if you are a newcomer someone will usually come and talk to you, and you will soon start to feel at home.
Can I bring my children?
Yes! We have a lot of families in our church, and so there is First Steps for the youngest ones (under 4s), St J’s Club for our primary school children (4-10), and a third group for our youth (11-18). First Steps and St J’s Club operate in both English and Dutch.
Looking after our children and young people is a high priority for us, so we operate a full safeguarding policy under the guidance of the Diocese in Europe. When you come for the first time we will ask you to fill in a registration form for your child(ren). All our leaders and helpers are cleared for working with under 18s, including background checks. You can read more about our safeguarding guidelines here.

What if I want to learn more about the Christian faith?
How can I get more involved?
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find your place within our church community. The best way to do that is to get active. Don’t just come to church: come and be the church with us!
For example:
For example:
- Sign up for the weekly email so that you know what is happening.
- Come to a newcomers’ lunch. These are held every few months and are a great opportunity to get to know others in the church.
- Join a small group.
- Get involved with one of our teams, such as welcome, chairs, sound, music, coffee and so on.
