St. J’s Club (ages 4-11)

Picture
Our aim at St. James is to provide an environment for all children to be able to hear the good news of Jesus and grow in knowing him, so they can live as God's children in the world and persevere as Christians into adulthood! Our desire is for them to grow into godly men and women, integrated into the church, prepared for living in the world and committed to sharing the truth with others.
On a Sunday morning we do this in St. J’s Club by teaching the Bible and giving the children the chance to investigate for themselves and ask questions. We pray together, sing lively songs, play games and sometimes do a craft activity. Our teaching sessions are in both Dutch and English.
The children start off each Sunday for the first song and  prayer with the rest of the church family in the main hall then leave for their groups . We meet in a room adjacent to the main meeting room and the school library. Towards the end of the service the children return to the main hall for the last song and blessing. Once a month the children join in to celebrate Holy Communion.
Several times a year we have an All Age service when the whole church family, old and young, is together and St. J’s Club often participates in these services in the form of a drama, leading the prayers, reading and helping with the music.
We are a friendly group of children from all over the world, all speaking English and/or Dutch (and more languages!) and would love it if you joined us!
St James is committed to the well-being of all children in our congregation, and operates in accordance with safeguarding best practice and Diocese in Europe regulations. All our helpers are recruited and trained accordingly, and on any Sunday there is a minimum of two helpers, and always a helper who can speak Dutch as well.
