We are pleased to announce that Bishop Andrew will preside at a Confirmation Service on Saturday 16 May at 3pm in the Sint Ansfriduskerk in Amersfoort. We warmly invite anyone who is considering confirmation to come and speak with Matt.
What is Confirmation? Confirmation is a service in the Church of England in which a person affirms for themselves the promises made at their baptism — a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ before the bishop and the congregation. For many, it is a significant and moving milestone in their Christian journey: a moment to say clearly and intentionally, "This faith is mine." In the Anglican tradition, confirmation is administered by a bishop and is typically preceded by a period of preparation — exploring what it means to follow Christ, what we believe as Christians, and what it means to be part of the Church. It is open to anyone who has been baptised and is ready to take this step, whether they are young or old, new to faith or returning to it after many years.
