Follow Jesus - Join the Alpha team!
Alpha is a multi-week course that creates a space where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about faith, life and God.
As part of our journey to become more missional as a church we are excited to be organizing the Alpha course in the New Year for those who are curious about the Christian faith, whether or not they come to church. Will you help us and join the team?
Your initial reaction might be 'that's not for me, I'm no evangelist!' but actually serving on the Alpha team doesn't require you to be an accomplished orator or persuasive preacher. It's simply about listening and serving. If you love Jesus and would like to follow His command to share the gospel, please prayerfully consider if you could take on one of the roles below during all or part of the course. There will be approximately 8 sessions in total on a Thursday evening starting 11 January 2024, in Voorschoten.

- Food coordinator - ensure together with the cooks there is a simple but generous warm-hearted meal for each Alpha session.
- Cooks - cook or purchase food, bring it to location.
- Kitchen angels - prepare tables/warm-up/serve food and clear away/wash-up.
- Response coordinator - confirm responses from participants, be a point of contact and coordinate communications between the Alpha team and participants attending.
- Facilitators - welcome participants, show the Alpha film, facilitate discussion and listen well. Be willing to share own testimony/experience if needed/appropriate.
- Group supporters - to join discussion group, stay mostly quiet, listen, pray silently, love people. Be willing to share own testimony/experience if needed/appropriate.
